The one thing that most Card Maker's find hard, are Masculine Cards for our Boys, Men and Friends!

But if I am Honest - Myself, I find these types of cards, some of my favourites to do!

Good Times Birthday

By Mel Barwise

We have had a big birthday in the household, Hubby has reached the big 5-0! (Granted he will tell you he is amazed he made it!)

With all the happenings including Hubby being quite unwell for a couple of months,

I was time poor but I still wanted to show him how special He is, to us all!

So with just a few minutes spare one morning, I whipped this card together! (While chasing the kids in the morning routine, before we went out for his birthday! Insanity!)

Eclectic Good Times

Card Size: Square 13.5cm x 13.5cm Folded - If cutting own card size = 13.5cm x 27cm

I started with trimming the background paper to fit the font of card with a small border - approximately 12cm x 12cm.

Then I grabbed a piece of thick cardboard from a packing box, and removed a bit of the layers and tore the edges to give it a good edge, so it is smaller than the card to fit in the off Centre top right

Next I selected the Cut-A-Parts Paper in the 6" x 6" Paper Pack, I chose the Good Times Tag with the Bear and Guitar and Black Denim Star with Yellow Stitching.

once I trimmed around the edge I added foam tape under the bear area, and liquid glue to tag area - the layered this on top of the cardboard element.

I placed something heavy on this for 10 mins to make sure it adhered well.

Literally then just grabbed the 5 & 0 Numbers, added liquid glue and adhered these on, just adding glue to the top of the back of the numbers!

Slid in the Star with Liquid Glue to the bottom right under the edge of the cardboard element,

And lastly I added the 'Happy Birthday' Sentiment from the Creative Cuts pack with Liquid Glue and I was done!

Hubby was very happy with His card as I am the main one that makes a deal out of his birthday,

until we got together he had not had a Birthday Party! We ended up celebrating quiet a fair bit most of November too, Eclectic Good Times for sure! I think He needed to know how many people love him and enjoy his company, now we just need to get him well again so he can enjoy life again!

Hope this helped you with an idea for how easy these types of cards can be to create.
